ok, so the doctor is totally against killing the gangers, which may mean that his ganger doesn’t die at all, but goes travelling anyways on earth without the tardis.

in the impossible astronaut, the doctor doesn’t arrive in a tardis, he is on a CAR.

Of course, that’s forgetting the fact that the events of the rebel flesh and the almost people occurred on 22nd Century Earth. The Doctor would have to figure a means of going back to the early 21st century for it to be the ganger version of him.
